Our latest webinar was Bootstrap Basics for LibGuides 2.0: Accessibility and Dynamic Design for Libraries

Presenters:

Amanda R. Glenn-Bradley, User Engagement Librarian, UNC Asheville and John Michael Bradley, Web Administrator, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College

Description:

Let’s face it; web design can be intimidating, especially when you compound visual design with accessibility needs and requirements. LibGuides’ Bootstrap integration in the 2.0 platform opens up a whole new world of opportunities for dynamic web design that is not only visually appealing but is fully accessible as well. This webinar will cover the basics of what Bootstrap is and what it does for web design, as well as present an overview of what accessibility means and its importance in library web design. Participants will come away with an understanding of the functionality and applications of Bootstrap in their own work and of the role accessibility plays in user experience, engagement, and retention.
